This class format allows you to access quality evidence-based materials online, so that it works with your schedule, with the added benefit of local mentorship and engaging activities! This class is limited to only 6 couples.This Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Class is taught by Stephanie Spitzer-Hanks, CD/PCD(DONA), ICCE, CLC. Stephanie is a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, Lactation Counselor and an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor who has been working with new and expecting parents since 2011!

Online Classes + Mentoring

We will meet on Zoom for our class times, and you will do the rest of your learning online at your own pace.The first and last classes are 2 hours in length and are held on selected Sunday afternoons, from 2-4.For the weekly online learning portion, you and your partner will watch class videos on your computer or phone with an easy to read workbook.For every video you watch on your own, you’ll earn points towards fun prizes!You’ll have access to the Instructor during weekly Zoom sessions (video chat). What is Included in this Childbirth Class? 

Each registration ticket (one ticket is good for both the pregnant parent and their chosen support person) includes the two 2-hour classes, four weekly Zoom video chats with your Instructor, and 3 months of access to your lessons online at the Evidence Based Birth® Academy, and a PDF library. If you choose the “silver” option, in addition to the above, you will get an extra 3 months access to the online portion + a set of Birth Affirmation cards. The "gold" option includes everything above plus a 45 minute private zoom call with Stephanie to discuss your birth plan and a one-on-one coaching call during labor.

Will I learn how to have a natural birth? 

Evidence Based Birth® believes that every person has their own unique path. Instead of focusing on medicated vs. unmedicated birth, we focus on giving you tools and helping you learn the evidence, so that you can be empowered to make your own decisions! We do have a strong emphasis on non-drug comfort measures, because they have no side effects and can be used by everyone, whether or not you plan to use medications.At the end of this class you will have all the tools you need to create your ultimate labor and birth experience. If you want a natural birth, this class will give you the relaxation and pain management tools you need to have a natural birth. If you need an epidural or Cesarean, we’ll cover how you can be empowered that way, too!

Yes! For $100 more to any of the packages, private sessions are available.
